What is Required to Become an NHVAS Approved Auditor?

This article provides information on how to satisfy the criteria to become registered with the NHVR as an NHVAS Approved Auditor. You should treat this as guidance only, as each application will be assessed on its own merits.

If you are looking to become an NHVAS Approved Auditor, please read the NHVAS Auditor Registration information sheet (PDF, 260KB). This will clearly explain the different steps you need to take.

We can certainly assist you with Step 1 - Get Qualified, and we recommend starting with our Lead Auditor Quality Management Systems (ISO 19011:2018 | ISO 9001:2015) course. This addresses the requirements of both 22.1(a) and 22.1f (from section 22 of the NHVAS Business Rules and Standards)

However, it is important to note that five additional general criteria must be satisfied to be registered as an approved auditor (section 22 of the NHVAS Business Rules and Standards).

NHAVS Approved Auditor NHVAS approved auditors are registered by the NHVR and a register of NHVAS auditors is maintained and published by the NHVR at www.nhvr.gov.au/nhvas-auditors.
