Why Do I Need 'Third Parties' for My Video Assessments?

And what happens if I can't find two volunteers?

It is a requirement that you have both an Auditee and Audit Team Member present for any submitted video assessments.

To ensure you are able to effectively complete this task in full, these third-parties should have an auditing background, an understanding of the audit processes and/or be a current or previous participant in the same course and/or qualification.

If you are unable to participate in scheduled ILT sessions, you may connect with fellow course participants via our closed Facebook ATOL Community page to conduct and record a ‘Remote Audit’ via Zoom meeting, or hold a simulated ‘on-site’ meeting with colleagues.

When completing your assessment the presence of both an audit team member and auditee will be used to demonstrate effective group interaction and team leadership skills. Demonstration of these skills is necessary to meet performance criteria requirements and be marked as competent.

IMPORTANT: Students who do not have two third-parties present and have not completed the assessment via an ILT Assessment Session will be required to resubmit their assessments.

If you do not have access to both an 'auditee' and 'audit team member', take advantage of our fortnightly Instructor Led Group Sessions - take a look at our article on How do I register for an ILT Session?
